Balkan route then and now
They walked through the mountains, through the forests, through the snow or in the heat of weeks, toward Serbia for weeks. There were pregnant women and the sick among them, but the children suffered most. Today, when the Balkan route is officially closed, the refugee is still in Serbia, but the conditions are much better for them now. The kids go to elementary school, and there are some who are high school students. See in the gallery what was recorded during the last five years.
